(What does the Bible say about Faith)
We are saved by grace through faith (which is a gift from God)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works so no one can boast.
For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.
Only need a mustard seed of faith
He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.
He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.
Faith comes through Jesus
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1 Timothy 1:14
The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
We are justified by faith
he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.
So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith.
We are sanctified by faith
to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'
Obedience comes from faith
Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.
Righteousness comes by faith
For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testifyThis righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference,
It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.
But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.
and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.
Our faith should not be in people,
but in God's power
1 Corinthians 2:5
so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
Faith gives us access to grace
through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
Faith comes from hearing the message
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
God gives a measure of faith
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
Faith can be strengthened & can grow
So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.
rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
1 Thessalonians 3:2
We sent Timothy, who is our brother and God's fellow worker in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith,

Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting of work done by others. Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand,

Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith.
2 Thessalonians 1:3
We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.
Faith can make you well
"Go," said Jesus, "your faith has healed you." Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."
Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."
Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has healed you."
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
Someone else's faith can heal you
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Faith in Jesus will result in doing what he did
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
Faith can be seen
Some men brought to him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven."
He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed
Our lack of faith does not nullify God's faithfulness
What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness?
2 Timothy 2:13
if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
Faith is credited as righteousness
However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.
The promise comes by faith
Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring-not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
We use our gifts by faith
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.
Everything that does not come from faith is sin
But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,

We live by faith
2 Corinthians 5:7
We live by faith, not by sight.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him."

Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder. You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
Through faith in Christ we can approach God

We can have unity of faith
until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Faith is a weapon against the devil
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
1 Thessalonians 5:8
But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
1 Peter 5:8-11
Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Faith and love spring from hope of heaven
the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel

We must continue in faith
if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.

Itís Impossible to please God without Faith
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Faith is tested and refined
1 Peter 1:7
These have come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Faith is meant to be shared
I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
There are more. Ask God to show you.
