Have I received Jesus as my Savior and am I getting to know God better?

-You have redeemed me and have summoned me by name, I am Yours therefore I will not fear (Isaiah 43:1)
-I will have grace and peace in abundance through knowing You, God and Jesus my Lord. (2Peter 1:2)

Do I believe God cares about me?

-I cast all my anxiety on You because You care for me (1 Peter 5:7)
-I do believe help my unbelief (Mark 9:24)
-When I said, My foot is slipping, Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, held me up. In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul! (Psalm 94:18-19)

Do I know how much God loves me & that nothing can separate me from God’s love?  Am I resting in that love?

-There is no fear in love.  But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.  The one who fears is not made perfect in love. (1John 4:18)
-I am Your beloved and will rest secure in You for You shield me all day long and I will rest between Your shoulders  (Deut 33:12)
-Nothing can separate me from Your love, God (Romans 8:38)

Have I asked God for what I  need with a thankful heart?

-I will not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I will present my requests to You, God. And Your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
-My God will meet all my needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

Am I patiently trusting God?   Am I believing God?

-When I am afraid I will trust in you, In God whose word I praise; in God I trust; I will not be afraid  What can mortal man do to me? (Psalms 56:3-4)
-You will keep me in perfect peace and my mind will be steadfast when I trust you. Help me trust You God. (Isaiah 26:3)
-I will not  be afraid, just believe (Mark 5:36)
-Surely You are my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. You are my strength and my song and have become my salvation. (Isaiah 12:2)
-I will be patient and wait for You, Lord to act; I won't be worried about those who prosper or those who succeed in their evil plans. I won't give in to worry or anger; it only leads to trouble. I will trust in You, Lord and will possess the land, but the wicked will be driven out. (Psalm 37:7-9)
-I will not have the fear of man which will prove to be a snare, but I will trust in You, Lord and will
be kept safe. (Proverbs 29:25)
-When I dwell in Your shelter, Lord Most High, I  will rest in Your shadow Lord, Almighty.  I will say "You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely You will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. You will cover me with Your feathers, and under Your wings I will find refuge; Your faithfulness will be my shield and rampart. I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

-Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. (Psalm 9:10)

Do I know God will never leave me or forsake me  and that God is with me?

-You will never leave me and will never forsake me (Heb 13:5)
-I will be strong and courageous.  I will not be terrified;  I will not be discouraged, for You will be with me wherever I go (Joshua 1:9)
-I will be strong and courageous, and not afraid or tremble at them, for You go with me. You will not fail me or forsake me. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Am I afraid of evil?

-I will fear no evil, for you are with me (Psalms  23:4b)

Am I afraid God will give up on me?

-You began a good work in me and You will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Phil 1:6)

Do I know I have been given power and authority over fear?

-I have been given authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm me. (Luke 10:19)
-I submit myself to You, God. I resist the devil, and he will flee from me. (James 4:7)
-God, You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
-I take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:16)
-My weapons are not carnal, but mighty in God.  They have divine power to demolish strongholds. (2 Cor 10:4)

Do I  know that God wants to help me & strengthen me?

-Thank You Lord that as I seek You, You will  answer me and deliver me from all my fears (Psalm 34:4)
-I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
-I will not fear, for You are with me;  I will not be dismayed, for You are my God.  You will strengthen me and help me, You will uphold me with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10)
-I will not be afraid.  You are my shield, my very great reward. (Genesis 15:1)
-You are faithful and will strengthen and protect me from the evil one. (2Thess 3:3)
-For You are the Lord, my God who takes hold of my right hand and says to me, Do not fear; I will help you (Isaiah 41:13)
-I will not be terrified; I will not be afraid. You, God are going before me, and will fight for me, as You did in Egypt.(Deuteronomy 1:29-30)
-If I go into battle against my enemies, I will not be fainthearted or afraid; I will not be terrified or give way to panic before them for You, Lord are the one who goes with me to fight for me against my enemies to give me victory.(Deut 20:3-4)
-I will not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not mine, but Yours, God. (2 Chron 20:15b)

Have I learned how to take my thoughts captive?

-Help me take captive every thought that tries to exalt itself above the knowledge of You, God. (2 Cor 10:5)
-I set my heart on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1)

Do I  know that God’s word sets me free?

I will look intently into perfect law that gives freedom, and continue to do this, not forgetting what I have heard, but doing it-I will be blessed in what I do. (James 1:25)

Do I have a fear of man?  Do I care more about what people think than what God thinks?

-I will not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults.  For the moth will eat them up like a garment;  the worm will devour them like wool.  But Your righteousness will last forever, Your salvation through all generations (Isaiah 51:7)
-You are my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?  You are the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalms  27:1-6)
-I will not have the fear of man which will prove to be a snare, but I will trust in You, Lord and will
be kept safe. (Proverbs 29:25)

Do you fear bad news?

-Blessed is the man who fears the Lord who finds great delight in his commands....I will have no fear of bad news; my heart is steadfast, trusting in You, Lord.  His heart is secure, he will have no fear;  in the end he will look in triumph on his foes. (Psalms 112:1,7)

Do I have a reverential fear of the LORD?

-The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
(Proverbs 8:12-13)
-I won't be afraid.  You have come to test us and instill a deep and reverent awe within us so that we won't sin. (Exodus 20:20)
-I want to be one who rules righteously, who rules in the fear of God, and be like the light of morning at sunrise, like a morning without clouds, like the gleaming of the sun on new grass after rain. 2 Samuel 23:3-4

Am I doing what is right?  Am I willing to turn from wrong when God shows it to me?

-I want to be free from fear of the one in authority?  Then I will do what is right and be commended (Romans 13:3)
-I commit myself to You, God completely.  I reach out my hands to You for help. I get rid of all of the sin I have. I don’t let anything that is evil stay in my tent. Then I can face others without feeling any shame. I can stand firm without being afraid. (Job 11:13-15)
-You search me, O God, and know my heart; You test me and know my anxious thoughts. If there is any offensive way in me, lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23-24)
-I won't be afraid.  You have come to test us and instill a deep and reverent awe within us so that we won't sin. (Exodus 20:20)

Am I listening for wisdom?  Do I ask God for wisdom and seek wise advice?

-I listen to wisdom and will live in safety and be at ease, with out fear of harm (Prov 1:33)
-I will not let wisdom and understanding out of my sight. I will hold on to good sense and the understanding of what is right.They will be life for me. They will be like a gracious necklace around my neck. Then I will go on my way in safety. I will not trip and fall. When I lie down, I won’t be afraid.  When I lie down, I will sleep soundly. (Proverbs 3:21-24)

Am I remembering how awesome and powerful God is and that He and the armies of heaven are fighting for us?

If I think to myself, “Oh! We’re outnumbered ten to one by these nations! I'll never even make a dent in them!” I won’t be afraid.  I will remember what You did, God to Pharaoh and all Egypt, the miracle-signs, the wonders, Your mighty hand and outstretched arm took them out of there. You, God are going to do the same thing to these people we are now so afraid of. We will not be afraid of those nations, for You, God are among us, and You are a great and awesome God.(Deuteronomy 7:17-19, 21)
-I won’t be afraid for there are more on our side than on theirs. O LORD, open our eyes and let us see!”  (2 Kings 6:15-17)
-I won’t be afraid of them. I will remember You, Lord, who are great and awesome, fight for our people, our sons and our daughters, our wives and our homes.
(Nehemiah 4:14-15)
